An exciting opportunity has arisen to apply for the new post of Global Content Production Director, Academic Books. This senior role takes responsibility for the content production of all Academic books globally, and will lead the content production teams in Cambridge and New York. Supporting the Global Production Director, the job holder will deliver a content production strategy for the books business as we make the transition from print-focussed to format-agnostic content creation.

Desired Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will have excellent publishing production experience, ideally in an academic books environment. You will have in-depth knowledge of XML workflows, design, production, editorial services and digital publishing. Your address book will be full of industry contacts, and you will have a proven track record of leading and managing large teams and delivering a culture of flexibility, operational excellence, and high quality customer service.


You will be confident at working with and managing all levels of staff with a flexible approach to work and excellent communication skills. As a key member of the senior management team you will have a strong commercial focus and excellent operational skills, and will be able to support the business as it develops its digital publishing programmes whilst retaining its reputation for excellent quality content.
