Role Summary


This is a non traditional senior level consultative role, entailing customer, partner, and corporate responsibilities.  A key portion of this role is responsible for driving the implementation of strategic and tactical initiatives to accelerate the growth of the (wireless)  m2m marketplace in Canada. This includes direct responsibility for the consultative selling of products and services through wavefront, including partnership agreements through wavefront that are designed to support a stronger Canadian wireless ecosystem. 


This consultative role must identify, enable, drive and elevate Wavefront’s presence, results and support for Ontario and Quebec, with particular focus on the Greater Toronto Area and Montreal.


The essential duties of the Executive will be to:


  • Develop and execute sales and business strategies in the region to achieve and surpass sales, business goals and objectives


  • Rapidly understand the current state of a company’s wireless strategy and how Wavefront can support and accelerate their business growth via wireless and wireless strategy challenges.


  • Provide executive level representation at high-stakes meetings with prospects, clients, and technology and channel partners.


  • Serve      as the Wavefront thought leader for sales into region’s corporate market regarding      product or program requirements, selling trends, competitive landscape,      marketing programs and communications


  • Identify      and develop industry relationships with wireless carriers, application      providers, device manufacturers and others who may be supported by or      collaborate with Wavefront 


  • Provide feedback to different areas of Wavefront’s business regarding client needs, operational needs, business opportunities, and marketing/sales programs.


  • Work closely with Marketing: feedback on product and program requirements, trends, program needs, customer outreach programs and events


  • Recommend creative selling techniques based on customer needs, market and product knowledge


  • Assist in developing brand identity and recognition in the region


  • Participate as a member of Wavefront’s Sales Leadership Team, responsible for enlisting Wavefront Executives in support of sales initiatives


  • Provide accurate and timely Forecast’s using the appropriate Sales Tools


  • Processes and maintain all relevant information about Customers, Prospects, Campaigns, and Leads on the Wavefront Salesforce.com site.

Desired Skills and Experience


Key Competencies:


  • Post secondary degree


  • Minimum 5-10 years consultative selling Executive experience with C-level engagement


  • Passionate and knowledgeable about wireless innovation (m2m, connected things), technology and trends and how they can positively impact Canadian corporations


  • Exceptional project management skills and the ability to coordinate and oversee a number of projects and initiatives concurrently


  • Superior communication, presentation and interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships at      multiple levels to work cross organizationally toward solutions; excellent leadership and consensus building skills


  • Can combine disparate ideas, concepts, practices to produce novel and effective solutions that accelerate commercialization


  • Builds trust and confidence through the application of sound ethical values


  • Is counted upon to get results for developers, wireless operators and ongoing wavefront business needs


  • Influencing and change management skills


  • Experience with both start-up and mature businesses preferred


  • Bilingual candidate for Montreal position

In addition:


  • Travel: 15 to 25% of the time


  • Reports To: VP Eastern Canada
