Job description

Position Summary:

Responsible for coordinating implementation, account management, tracking and expediting Payer and Partner connectivity and problem solving. Analyzes problems with clearinghouse applications to identify problem area(s) and recommend corrective action. Recommend and manage solutions to customer application questions. May utilize specialized domain expertise related to the specific application of the software to resolve customer problems.

The essential duties of the position include:

• Provide account management of Payer and Partner connectivity to the MDE clearinghouse.
• Track and manage the projects related to connectivity, including managing communication flow internally and externally, tracking of all status and issues and communicating and driving expectations and deadlines.
• Coordinate all activities pertaining to problem identification and resolution, while controlling customer expectations.
• Provide professional technical support to clients emphasizing customer service
• Contribute to continuous process and procedural improvements.
• Manage customer expectations and relationships.
• Escalate issues to technical and development teams when necessary
• Review products and procedures; keep up to date with, and inform current users of new developments and updates
• Develop an understanding of common problems and provide immediate solutions
• Assist management of technical and regulatory changes.
• Monitor customer usage reports to ensure strong customer experience as well proactive, early issue identification
• Assist with special projects as required
• Conduct QA testing to ensure receipt of appropriate system responses from clearinghouse/payer sources
• Work closely with software development to thoroughly test and document potential issues. Conduct QA testing of potential solutions as provided by development team.
• Document as appropriate all above tasks - keep records of calls made, problems reported, troubleshooting steps and solution details
• Update MDE team on a regular basis regarding status and issues

Desired Skills and Experience

Qualified candidates will have:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Proven client support, analysis and project management skills
• Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
• Familiarity with healthcare management/processes a plus
• Advance level working knowledge of all Microsoft products
• Proven analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills
• Self motivated, detail-oriented and organized. Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines/provide timely follow up to end-users
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to take initiative & manage multiple detailed tasks in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
