The Enterprise Data Sales Manager (EDSM) develops strategies for enterprises and channel partners to support growth opportunities for M2M data products and services to grow market share with increase ARPU and volume.  Analyzes M2M data sales results and market conditions to discover opportunities for growth.

1. Growth opportunities: Drives VES and VSP+ M2M data account penetration by leveraging products and services while collaborating with VES and VSP+ Account Management Teams.  Serves as a M2M deal architect for multi-faceted, multi-technology solutions including but not limited to: modules and modems, M2M MC, Terremark services, system integrators, etc.  Has a solid understanding of the competitive landscape and have the ability to clearly articulate the technical differentiation and value proposition associated with Verizon versus its competitors. Remains current on all M2M products and services, industry and competitive trends, and reinforce findings with the team.

2. Solution development:  Focus on M2M solution development and architectural design for assigned customer base with specific emphasis on Verizon’s global managed services and communications solution portfolio. Translate customer business issues/opportunities into technical solution/business requirements.

3. Training / Meetings / Reporting:  Author and deliver network designs, statements of work and technical project plans incorporating service and program management.  Understand pricing structures and associated elements including Service Level Agreements (SLAs).  Represent Verizon at trade shows.  Maintains external certifications based on needs of the business.  Reviews tracking reports and stays continuously updated on M2M data sales results.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Bachelors of Science Degree or equivalent work experience required.

• 5+ years in customer facing technical positions (sales, sales engineering, consulting) or 5+ years architecture experience in conceptualization, definition and development of IT and or telecom based products and services with verifiable instances of implementing one or more of the following:
                   - Data and IP Services (ATM, Frame Relay, VoIP, PIP, VPN, IP PBX)
                   - Managed Network Services (LAN, WAN, Content Delivery, Managed IP PBX)
                   - Managed Security Solutions
                   - Data Center Outsourcing (application hosting, managed storage)
                   - IT Applications Management (SOA, Web Services, RTE)

• Requires working and functional knowledge, with strong ability to articulate Verizon offerings across multiple disciplines including M2M Data, Voice, UC&C, managed services, IT, security and mobility strategies

• Possess strong presentation skills with the ability to develop and deliver technical presentations with customers and tailor content to audience as appropriate

• Strong knowledge of network, communications and mobility protocols

• Working knowledge of switching, routing, server, video, UC&C and mobility equipment

• Knowledge of storage networking/cloud computing

• Ability to stay ahead of wireless trends and forthcoming M2M technology

• Ability to translate technology trends to sales force and customer base

• Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively work in a team environment and explain complex systems to customers
