HUGE London is seeking an entrepreneurial and passionate individual to lead, build, and cultivate its growing User Experience team.   A successful Head of UX at HUGE is a strategic product owner, a team player, a trusted client partner, a solid manager and recruiter, and a skilled practitioner all rolled into one.
On projects, the Head of UX will lead and inspire anything an account might need. The work includes digital strategy and interaction design in different countries and across any touch point, including web, mobile, social, tablet and in-store. We’re looking for a person who understands every aspect of the UX process: from upfront research and analysis, to developing a sound strategic vision, all the way through detailed design and QA.
The right candidate has: a boundless spirit, the ability to embrace chaos, an openness to learn how we work and insights on how to improve it, a talent to juggle many balls at once and prioritize the right ones, and a hunger to change people’s lives by creating best-in-class digital experiences.
In addition to project work, you will shape and grow the User Experience practice, manage and mentor other interaction designers and content strategists, contribute to the larger UX community in Europe, and play a key role in business development.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all types of UX project deliverables (such as strategic vision briefs, concepts, wireframes, site maps, workflows, etc.) while partnering with other disciplines for a stellar final product
  • Be hands on, should the project need it
  • Work closely with clients guiding brainstorms, leading working sessions, and giving senior presentations
  • Collaborate with Client Services to create project scopes, schedules, and road maps
  • Be a force of positive inspiration in the face of any challenge

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Typically, 10+ years experience creating interfaces, large scale websites, or applications
  • Successful track record leading interdisciplinary teams in creating killer products that consider innovation and usability
  • Inspires passion, dedication, and killer work from others
  • Thinks holistically and strategically about a client’s business
  • Proven experience with senior clients
  • Engaging presentation style + solid writing and visual communication skills
  • Works collaboratively with other intelligent and talented types – no egos please
  • Open to feedback and knows how and when to defend design choices
  • The curiosity of a scientist and the passion of an artist
