Experienced finance and business development professional seeking portfolio management position
Greater New York City Area
I'm interested in leveraging my analytical and financial skills in a portfolio management role.
Previously, I worked in investment banking and consulting for ten years in New York City, and in business development at Trilogy Software in Austin. Most recently, I was a Sales Consultant at Rapt, a software start-up that focuses on helping online media publishers improve yield through better pricing, inventory forecasting and analytics. Rapt was successfully sold to Microsoft, and I have decided to take some time off and pursue my goal of becoming a portfolio manager.
I have been trading my personal account for five years with the following results:
* Long only portfolio has grown at an Average Annual Return of 27.33% since inception (July 2003 to June 2008); results verified by Cake Financial (Social Investing Community)
* Long/short portfolio has returned 21.02% from Oct 7, 2007 to Jun 28, 2008, or 38.95% better than the S&P 500 Index; results verified by Covestor (Social Investing Community)
Business development (partnerships, minority investments), mergers and acquisitions advisory, and solution selling (analyzing and articulating value propositions, return on investment)
