ASMP is a world-wide photographic association in which I have been involved since the early 80's, first as newsletter editor, then as several-term Co-President of the New England chapter. Along the way, I got involved nationally, serving on several committees by appointment of the president of the association, as two-term President of the Chapter Presidents Committee, and later as national board member for two terms. Until recently, I served as Co-President of the North Carolina Chapter of ASMP and am now its President, since we went to a President/Vice President system of officers rather than two Co-Presidents.

In addition to organizing and guiding these trips, I also taught people how to make better photographs of their unique adventures.
