February 2000 — July 2003 (3 years 6 months)
My responsibility was to manage a series of projects to create a customizable translation workflow system. The idea of this platform was to provide complete workflow automation for translation agencies that work for big customers and thus feature pretty stable processes. The core technology was a workflow engine that interprets an XML-based definition, and a set of process steps that automates the typical translation agency activities.
The team grew from 3 to 15 members (including developers, testers and technical writer). The main technologies were C++, VB, COM and SOAP.
