Systems Administrator and Research Programmer at University of Miami
Miami/Fort Lauderdale Area
I am studying Computer Science & Mathematics at the University of Miami. My primary goals as a developer are making the lives of other developers easier through more robust operating systems, compilers and programming languages, debugging tools and developer tools in general.
I will be graduating in the Fall of 2009. In February 2010, I will start with Microsoft Corp. as an SDET with the Windows Team.

May 2007 — October 2009 (2 years 6 months)
I manage an Apple XServe cluster for use in Biological and/or Ecological research. Responsibilities include system maintenance, assisting faculty in their research goals by providing insight into designing software to utilize the cluster and general computer support from a research aspect.
(Public Company; MSFT; Computer Software industry)
May 2009 — August 2009 (4 months)
I had two main responsbilities for my internship: 1) debug a Bluetooth A2DP driver for use in Bluetooth Audio testing and 2) design and implement a framework for manipulating two machines in a test setup.
(Educational Institution; Higher Education industry)
August 2008 — May 2009 (10 months)
I design software to analyze genomes of organisms to create profiles that can be used as signature for determining unknown genomic data. These techniques involve multi-threading to increase performance as well as clever algorithm design to save time.
