My interest is to investigate technologies and build software to support large scale high performance distributed systems. I have developed UDT, a versatile application level UDP-based data transfer protocol that outperforms TCP in many cases, and Sector/Sphere, a cloud computing system software that supports distributed data storage, sharing, and processing.

In 2009, I founded a startup company, VeryCloud, to provide commercial services and products for UDT, Sector, and related software.
