Elsie Escobar’s Summary
I worked in the entertainment industry for 6 yrs, as a professional actor in regional theater & in film and television. The reason I got into this field was the incredible power of community that was formed, primarily in theater, as both a medium for inspiration, profound social change and participation. I had a harder time recognizing it in Hollywood. In fact I became quite disenchanted with the whole thing.
Which is when I shifted my focus and fell deeply in love with yoga, health and healing. I found my passion again, for community and self empowerment on 'the stage' of my classes, where I got a chance once again to inspire. My greatest desire as a teacher is to reflect back to each and every student that everything they need they already have.
Now I'm ready for more. My 'roots' in media, art and entertainment are once again calling me, this time under my own rules. Currently I have 2 of my own podcasts and another in collaboration with a fellow yogi. I'm a fervent fan of podcasting and new media. I believe these new ways of communicating, and self expression have great potential for true growth and goodness. I've also gotten incredibly fired up about new technologies and social networks.
If I could imagine the perfect job, or even opportunities of what I want from my future professional experiences and goals it would be to work as a new media advocate, either by creating content or educating the general public about the possibilities of this powerful medium.
I'm also a firm believer in getting people from outside of their desks and offices and getting to living life 100%. Taking responsibility for the choices that we make in our lives, not only in 'work' but in lifestyle, exercise, diet, nutrition, to truly empower ourselves & recognize all that things that are possible by participating more fully in all ways, not only the ways that are comfortable.

Podcaster Relations

Reporting to the VP of Podcaster Relations. This position is responsible for the day-to-day communication with podcasters that are part of Wizzard Media (WM) or are good candidates to join.
Responsible for securing working relationships with identified independent podcasters using my mighty skills of online community building :) Working with Tech support and the new podcasters to make sure their transition to WM is as painless as possible. Responsible for maintaining great working relationships with podcasters in the WM family.
Working with sales to complete Ad sales proposals, conveying concerns and issues from podcasters about WM to VP of PR. Coordinating between podcasters and Ad Operations to get information to and from podcasters to support campaigns.
