ETHERYL (www.etheryl.com), a lifestyle venture boostrapped out of a personal need-based idea, was grown from a prototype piece of code, to a recognized and internationally used B2B online community management solution, and used by business schools such as INSEAD, Manchester Business School, HEC Paris, Oxford, as well as professional entities such as Manpower, Alstom, Procter & Gamble Alumni of France, European Professional Women's Network and many others.
My approach to business development (expanding along the customer life-cycle most notably) lead the INSEAD Entrepreneurship Department to write a case study on ETHERYL.
A group of private investors eventually acquired a majority stake of the debt-free, cash-flow-positive & profit-making entity in June 2007.

Effix Systèmes is now a part of the Reuters company.
As lead graphical user interface designer, I defined the foundation of what is today known as Reuters 3000 (or Kobra, or X-Tra [...]) , a front-office technology platform for traders that has generated over a billion dollar of sales (software and service) since.
My claim to fame here is to have "borrowed" the object-oriented and visual programming nature of Interface Builder on NeXTstep (ancestor of Xcode on Mac OS X) and turn Kobra into a first of its kind on the trading floor.
(Computer Software industry)

Co-developed an online community platform (at the time called a BBS or Bulletin Board System!) as well as a script compiler running on Atari ST. Cash poor, we used the subsidized French Minitel as server modem using a pretty cool hack! We eventually sold hundreds of licences of "Halley & Ellipse"...
