• Responsible for 5 Set-Top-Box (STB) software deliveries for both BSkyB Digibox and Sky+ Personal Video Recorder. For each one of those deliveries, the multi-components software I was responsible for, was downloaded successfully from the satellite to about 8 millions subscribers' decoders at homes across the United Kingdom.
• Customer's first contact point for all technical issues.
• Regular visits at the customer's sites based in London.

• Those activities generate several million pounds.

• Responsible for ensuring the high quality of complex Head-End and STB products.
• I created a state-of-the-art framework to both handle the new products under test and increase our team's productivity. The framework I created includes: definition of a clear process, standardization of documents (Test Plans, ATPs, Test Reports, Lessons Learned,etc...), migration of all the existent ATPs to strong test manager tool (TestDirector), implementation and documentation of a long list of procedures to optimize the productivity of our testing teams (including test automation).

Software Engineer - Specialist on Automatic testing solution

• Responsible for the development, support and maintenance of a major automatic testing infrastructure designed for massive STBs automatic testing. This solution included the utilization of IR emitters, smart card sniffer/reader, smart card inserter/remover, remote power supply controllers, video/audio controllers, OCR technologies, Remote Shell (to control remote head-end), a client-server architecture and the utilization of a in-house video streaming protocol.
This automatic testing solution reduced the testing period of major products ( such as Electronic Program Guide, Interactive Application, Conditional Access...) on average from 3½ months to about 20 days, and improved the overall quality of the product delivered to the customer.
Smart Card Test Engineer

• Student Position.
• In charge of testing new products to be delivered to NDS main customer. My main focus during this period was on smart card testing.
• Developed a series of tools for automatic and regression testing under UNIX (HP-UX) environment.
• Developed/Delivered a software utility used in conjunction with a hardware sniffer to monitor high-rate incoming encrypted data from a satellite media.
This solution allowed the customer to monitor in real-time all incoming data from an operating center. This product was presented as part of the final project of my engineering degree at the JCT.
