Yagan Kiely is a composer who was accepted into Edith Cowan University in his 16th year for a Certificate IV course in Classical Composition. After graduation, he started a Bachelor of Music in Composition. Prior to his university entry, he was tutored by
various musicians from across Western Australia. On the 18th of September 2006,
Yagan won the Tura New Music, Young Composers’ Award 2006 for the
premier of his Clarinet Sonata. Following the success of 2006, Yagan was
commissioned to write a Piece for Harpsichord and Guitar by Stewart Smith and Dr. Jonathan Paget. The piece was Premiered at the Darwin International Guitar Festival (http://www.darwinguitar.com/), on the 7th of July 2007 followed by another performance at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts’ weekly Tuesday Lunch Time Concerts. More recently, Yagan has composed the score for the film Lost and Found to be shown in the City of Perth and at Lunar Cinemas.

domain sheet music site the International Music Score Library Project (www.imslp.org)
