Epic-Certified Healthcare IT Consultant
Buffalo/Niagara, New York Area
I am a consulting professional with twelve years of experience in the healthcare information technology industry and nearly fifteen years of experience with Epic revenue-cycle applications. I first drank the Epic kool-aid way back in 1995 when I started building OB/GYN clinician schedules in Cadence text for Harvard Vanguard in Boston. In 1998, I took on the role as as the manual charge-ticket entry individual for the OB/GYN providers, which later led me to a Business Analyst position on the Resolute installation team, and a then Senior Business Analyst position on the EpicCare team. And so on.
Even with all of my experience in EpicCare, Resolute, Radiant and Prelude, I have never forgotten my first love - Cadence.
My professional highlights include:
Revenue-cycle implementation, project management, ambulatory process redesign, training and education (Radiant, EpicCare, Prelude, Cadence and Resolute Professional Billing modules), system build for both Production and Training environments, and curriculum documentation for training, including presentations, end-user manuals and job aids.
I have experience as an Epic development specialist with Design/Build/Validate for both Radiant and EpicCare installations.
I am Epic-certified in Cadence, Radiant and EpicCare Ambulatory applications, current to Spring 2008 versions.
In addition, I have excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills, superb interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, strong end-user and client liaison skills, and demonstrated ability to complete tasks independently. Lots of skills.
I am just generally awesome.

I am a contributing writer for Buffalo Spree magazine, Western New York’s only city and regional magazine, dedicated to providing timely, informative, and entertaining articles and features relevant to Buffalo and the seven counties of Western New York. I collect Kate Spade and Burberry handbags. I love hosting cocktail parties with little nibbly appetizers. I have an irrational fear of multi-level parking structures and being eaten by sharks.
Epic Certified in Cadence, Radiant, and EpicCare Ambulatory. Proficient in Prelude. I could maybe muddle through Resolute PB if you held a gun to my head.
My graduate degree was awarded with summa cum laude honors. Whoo.
