During my business career, I have had an opportunity to contribute to the success of many innovative and successful software and systems companies.
After leaving graduate school in 1978, I began as a technical writer at Structured Systems Group, an Oakland company later credited with starting the packaged software industry on the west coast. I then held product managment and product marketing positions at TeleVideo, Motorola, Altos, Ingres, and Sybase. At Scopus and Siebel Systems, I managed partner programs and strategic alliances. After taking time off for several years to manage my family's real estate holdings, I returned to technology with the goal of becoming a skilled and successful sales professional.
I have recently taken an interest in geographic information systems, and have built models to analyze how people vote on transportation and growth issues in local elections. While working for a regional developer, I managed campaigns that defeated two transportation sales tax measures in Solano County.
My ultimate goal is to combine my insights into local voting patterns, with my interest in GIS, some newly developed expertise in regression analysis, my sales skills, and my ongoing interest in the art of persuasion, into a political consulting business that wins elections through effective messaging.

Now known as Stevenson School, RLS was and still is one of the best prep schools on the west coast. I was fortunate that my parents placed a high priority on a good high school education. As a boarding student, I met many interesting people from around the world and formed friendships that have lasted a lifetime.
