Responsible for day-to-day operation of the news room staff and supervision of the editorial division of the newspaper, including ovesight of story budgets for every section (News, Viewpoints, Arts and Entertainment, Sports). Designed Page One, as well as numerous display advertisements. Also responsible for personnel issues for the entire newspaper staff. Worked with executive editor to lead the newspaper's editorial board. Coordinated with Advertising Department to ensure client satisfaction and advertisement placement, and with technical editor to maintain newspaper Web site. Fielded technology (Adobe Creative Suite) and design questions from design staff. Point person for editors' questions on appropriate news reporting strategy, and responsible for staff training and maintenance of quality news product.

Additionally, I edited copy for Nashville executive appointments and performed research for other reporters.
The City Paper is a full-color daily metro newspaper covering issues affecting Nashville.
