  • Developer

    CDC Respond

    (Public Company; Computer Software industry)

    April 2008December 2008 (9 months)

CDC Software is an international software house. I was contracted to work on a new version of their popular customer complaints software, Respond 5. This new version is web based with a Win Forms desktop application used for configuration. The software was designed to be customisable so that the application can be applied to bespoke company needs.

To accommodate these requirements I implemented a Data Access Layer using test driven development and new features of .NET, such as LINQ, which enables the under lying schema to be modified and custom fields stored.

After this I worked on implementing the web interface which relied heavily on AJAX using script services and helped to finish off the WPF based Win Forms client application. I was then extended to help implement missing functionality and test both applications.
