Editor at MySpace UK
United Kingdom
I am currently the Editor of MySpace in the UK. Current projects I lead include editorial on the UK version of MySpace, MySpace Today - Britain's biggest community profile ( http://myspace.com/myspacetoday ), MySpace Live Sessions, MySpace Webcasts and implementation/launch of new products including MySpace Music.
Coming from a background of freelance video production, music production and teaching Music Technology at Thames Valley University, I joined MySpace in 2007 overseeing many of their key entertainment and editorial channels, including the Comedy channel, as well as brokering and executing wider content partnerships with the BBC, Channel 4, Fox and many more. This included some of the most original and successful content projects in social media.
In July 2009 I became Editor of the site and immediately led a comprehensive reboot of the site's editorial strategy and user experience. I continue to lead the editorial team into a transitional time in the site's short but remarkable history.
social media, community management, creating interest in content, driving user engagement, web design, graphic design, online marketing, interviewing talent, video production, social networking, user experience, product.
