I build media, internet or entertainment companies from the ground up, usually with one or more partners. I tend to be the strategist and dealmaker, but also run marketing, finance and other day to day operations in whole of in part for each company - until hiring a CFO, sales & marketing execs and such. Have put together many private equity financings for my companies, including liquidity transactions worth nearly $100 million, with multi-billion dollar institutions and all the rest.
I have also been fortunate to receive a couple of awards and such: Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year, The Award for Business Leadership, and have had companies on the Inc. 500 list four times including 66th fastest grower in 2000, 10th fastest in 2007, and 211th in 2008. Was also listed 31st fastest growing technology company in Deloitte’s 2008 Technology Fast 50, and have placed in the top 10 fastest growers in the LA area in the Los Angeles Business Journal's list.
They've written about me and my projects in pubs like Internet Retailer, BusinessWeek, Ad Age, Hollywood Reporter, The Industry Standard, Forbes, the Los Angeles Business Journal, The LA Times, and some other cool rags.
