My career has seen hard news, marketing, and the explosion of social media. At WDAF-TV I was part of the launch team for myfoxkc.com (now fox4kc.com). During my time there I was nominated for an Emmy award for my work on the Bodies Revealed exhibit at Union Station in Kansas City. At Spiral16 (www.spiral16.com), I was responsible for the company's social media presence, managed our networks, and created and shared content about products.

While at the University of Kansas, I won a Society of Professional Journalists award for my in-depth coverage on competitive eating.
