I believe in an author's individual voice, as much as I value standards for language use.
My work through White Tiger Literary Service has been as a substantive editor, copy editor, proofreader, fact checker, and writer. I work on nonfiction as well as fiction manuscripts, in a variety of topics and genres.
Though I am good with copy editing, my greater talent is in substantive editing. Bringing the bones of the work out with greater clarity and flow allows for even better copy editing.

I work with different publishers and individuals as a substantive editor or copy editor, and fact check children's text books. Beyond for print publications, I edit graduate papers and write website copy. Nonfiction subjects have included sociology, history, accounting manuals, history, science, magic and religion. Fiction genres have included romance, science fiction, suspense and fantasy.

My White Tiger business is actually just a continuation of my prior freelancing.
Some of my past work includes:
Work with Janet L. Eriksson as co-writer, ghostwriter, substantive editor, copy editor, fact checker, created indexing and photo layouts, as well as some web design. From 6/2003 to the present.
Work with Marshal Cavendish from 4/2004 to present on fact checking different books of children's nonfiction.
Work with Stardate Publishing 2/2005 to 2/2006.
Prior to this, I worked at Emory's Pitts Theological Library from 1990-1996. This work included data entry for the Kessler Bibliography of Reformation Works.
(Educational Institution; Libraries industry)
1990 — 1996 (6 years )
In the years I worked at Pitts Library, I assisted cataloguers in cataloging by putting information online of their original cataloging into both the local database and OCLC. I also added information of new books to the library from the national database that did not require the catalogers’ expertise. The work included getting statistical information into Excel, as well as all the data entry for the publication of the Kessler Bibliography of Reformation Works. This included the records for all of the entries, as well as all the editing changes necessary by the editor and rare book librarian. The work sometimes required a familiarity with other languages, different programs, and was improved by one class on cataloguing taken at Clark Atlanta University.
Simply put, my work interests are anything to do with Writing. I am a book geek. I love the whole process from the first draft down to the quality of glue used in binding the final print. My main enjoyment comes from substantive editing and copy editing for theses, and other manuscripts. Topics include theoretical physics, sociology, history, religion, and philosophy. I’ve worked with fiction genres that include romance, suspense, science fiction, women’s fiction, and fantasy.
