My work has appeared in magazines, comic books, anthologies, professional writing guides and my own novels. I won the "Bram Stoker award for Superior Achievement in First Novel" in 2005 and was a finalist for the Bram Stoker award for Superior Achievement in Long Fiction in 2008. I was also nominated for the Pushcart Prize in 2003 for my short fiction. I hold an MFA from National University. I love martial arts and have studied Tae Kwon Do, Kuai Lua, and Ryu Kempo Jujitsu. I live in Southern Arizona with my wife, Yvonne Navarro, and Great Danes, Pester Ghost Palm Eater and Goblin Monster Dog.
