Began life as a mathematician. Graduated to an assembler programmer with ICL in UK then IBM in Toronto.
Became IBM IT manufacturing expert - developed BoM Processing on IMS which I taught to Toyota in Nagoya 1972.
Worked inside large companies like IBM and Microsoft, and with small startup companies like Harley Street Software and AISI Research.
Delivered several products which have sold globally including :
a) world's first Hayes-compatible powerline modem
b) world's first high definition ambulatory heart monitor
c) heart health CD
As Microsoft's Finance Industry Manager in EMEA in 2000-2001 I helped developed a strategy to improve the position of Microsoft in the big banks and insurance companies of Europe.
Skilled in project management (MSF MOF); Trained in PMI/PMP methodology.
In 1998 inside Microsoft I introduced the idea of a partner extranet. I developed the use of SharePoint as a tool for Microsoft partner management and then delivered the vision to Microsoft's Global Consulting teams.
