I am currently a Network Administrator with Tech-Central. I have been with Data Doctors, now Tech-Central since August 2008, and loving every minute of it.
Previously, I had been the Director of Technology for Multi-Link / Liberty Bell Telecommunications for 14 years. I have recently decided to move forward in my life and find a different and more challenging career that allows me to function professionally and have a personal life as well.
A little about me…I started out shortly after college as an office manager with a small business called Voice Services. I performed most of the customer service for the business voicemail services, mostly working with Qwest as an advocate for our customers to address call forwarding and other issues involved with the services we provided.
Shortly later, a new management team was installed -as the company was sold, and the focus of sales was redirected at ramping up telemarketing and sales to small businesses. The company grew exponentially. We replaced the old DOS-PC based systems with two $500,000 GlenAyre mainframe systems – later housed at a co-location facility. The GlenAyre platform was then (and still is) a superior voicemail platform with many features simply not available from Qwest, local CLEC’s, and cellular phone providers…and can support much more capacity (10 T-1 circuits) than the PC-based systems at the time.
In the most recent years, we added a computer support division and merged with the local CLEC, Liberty Bell. I continued to serve as Director of Technology, monitoring all the company’s systems from the office and from the “backup NOC” at my home. Multi-Link also recently partnered with a local VoIP provider and began selling DSL services on their network to offer 2-6 lines of telephony and internet access to our new and existing customers. Multi-Link did a name change in September 2008 and is now simply known as Liberty Bell Communications under the same ownership.
