Currently serves as Chief Information Officer for Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP. In thirteen years with the legal industry, I have led technology modernization efforts and systems mergers for two of the world’s largest lawfirms.
A life long technologist, business scientist and history fan, I've developed strategies for Knowledge Portfolio Management, Profit Design, Minimum Computational Requirement, Service Design and Information Infrastructure design. My team at Pillsbury is currently completing a project combining X86 processing with mainframe design to achieve ultra high density computer virtualization.
I previously served as a Cryptologist with the Department of Defense, where I advanced ‘least cost routing’ and graphical network mapping with the design of the TSM global network monitoring system. I held rank of Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy.
Early technology accomplishments included internships at Bell Laboratories and RCA Laboratories, software applications including the CPM word processor JWord, the MS-DOS graphical Project Management tool vProject, an Object Oriented suite of Client Server applications for Defense Logistics organizations, the enterprise browser WorkGroup Desktop, and IJNews, the first implementation of the news aggregation format later used by Google News.
