The Middlesex University campus at Cat Hill was formerly the site of Hornsey College of Art. 2007 marks the 125th anniversary of the establishment of Hornsey College, which became one of the leading art colleges in the country. Hornsey College of Art joined Enfield Technical College and Hendon Technical College to become Middlesex Polytechnic in 1973 with St Katherine's College of All Saints and Trent Park College becoming part of the Polytechnic in 1974.
