Postdoctoral Research Associate with Dr. Joseph Eichberg, University of Houston, TX, USA, (2002-2006). Led a group in molecular neurobiology lab to develop real-time trafficking cell culture model using wild-type and mutated (phosphorylation, acylation, glycosylation) P0-GFP fusion constructs. Published the findings as the mutations of Myelin Protein Zero in the cytoplasmic domain interfere with its cellular trafficking in the peripheral nervous system leading to Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease.
Constructed the cis-acting, adeno-associated viral vectors for gene delivery to study the regulation of circadian clock to light in mice with the Neurophysiology group of Dr. Michael Rea at the University of Houston in the collaboration with the Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX, USA.

Postdoctoral Research Scientist with C.N.R.S.-L.C.B., Marseille, France. Investigated the signaling events in the heterocyst-forming cyanobacterium Anabaena sp. strain PCC 7120. Published the results of the co-regulated 'C' and 'N' metabolic pathways using ketoglutarate transpoter from E. coli expressed under the control of a copper regulated plastocyanin `pet E` promoter in this nitrogen-fixing cyanobacteria.
