Internet is niet meer uit het dagelijks leven weg te denken. Dat het internet werkt is bijna een vanzelfsprekendheid geworden, maar achter de schermen zijn er talloze bedrijven actief om ‘het internet’ goed te laten functioneren. Ondanks grote commerciële en maatschappelijke belangen van het internet zijn de belangen van de Internet Service Providers, die er voor zorgen dat het internet goed functioneert, onderbelicht in de media, overheid en politiek.

Vereniging ISPConnect Nederland is de branchevereniging van meer dan 60 Internet Service Providers en heeft als belangrijkste doel de belangen van haar leden collectief te behartigen door hen een duidelijke stem te geven in de media, overheid, politiek en andere doelgroepen. ISPConnect doet dit door deel te nemen aan debatten, werkgroepen, eigen projecten en contacten met de media. Na vertrek bij de vereniging is Vince toegetreden als kernbestuurder bij aan de vereniging gelieerde Stichting Certificering ISPConnect.
