Freelance Photojournalist and Award-Winning Book Author
Norfolk, Virginia Area
I am a freelance photojournalist for numerous publications, nationally and locally. In my endeavors as a Native American author working on contemporary Native American role models for children, I have been fortunate to have interviewed champion athletes, Grammy award-winning musician's and such notable individuals as retired Senator Ben Nighthorse Campbell, the entire crew of Native American wildfire firefighters, the Golden Eagles Hotshots, and the list goes on and on.
The world of photojournalism and book authorship is an exciting place. My experiences in this life have been overwhelmingly rewarding. I spoke to Senator John McCain on his presidential campaign trail, and I got some amazing close-up photos of vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin and President-elect Barack Obama.
There is no telling what may come in 2009.
Photojournalism and book authorship.
I enjoy writing profiles on successful and inspirational people. I want to uplift with my writing. Every word I write - I write with the cognizance that hopefully someone somewhere will make a change for the better - no matter how small - to improve their own lives.
