Vince LaVecchia’s Summary
My work experience began as a short order cook at a country club. From there, I became a caddy at the same club and learned the great game of golf and the art of listening. Throughout my childhood, I was a snowboarder, which led me to begin working at Burton Snowboards in Vermont out of college. As a Team Manager and Marketing Coordinator at Burton, I learned what it took to maintain credibility as a global action sports, apparel and sporting goods manufacturer in a competitive, changing market.
My experience at Burton Snowboards included creative planning, marketing strategy, copy writing, athlete management, promotions, interactive and lots of fun. Working for Jake and all of the creative people around the brand was an inspiring experience. This experience led me to start my own company, called Instrument Marketing, which began as a network of talented individuals caroused under the common goal of doing great work with creative freedom.
Today, Instrument is a recognized Interactive Agency in Portland, Oregon, with a reputation for innovative, intelligent and brand-driving creative with rock-solid development resources. We're proud to bring our experience and point of view to bear on our client projects. As a Partner and Marketing Director, I continue to help grow Instrument's client base and manage internal resources, while providing brand strategy for some of the world's most important brands.
