Last year I gave up a rewarding consulting career to pursue entrepreneurship. By day, I'm a real estate investor, specializing in the purchase and rehab of distressed properties, using creative methods to sell homes quickly, and providing investors with outperforming returns in any market.
By night, I DJ at a number of venues all over NYC. My current residencies include 60 Thompson, Kiss & Fly, Tribeca Grand, Le Royale, and The Smyth. Former Clients include Tenjune, 1OAK, The Gates, Greenhouse, Gaansevort, Gramercy Hotel, and many more. In a typical night, I'll mix many genres including indie/classic rock, electro, 80s, hip-hop, house, club, disco, motown and the occasional guilty pleasure. However, I also played very narrowly defined sets when requested.
In my previous role at McMaster Carr, the nation's leading industrial supply distributor, I managed diverse business units ranging from Shipping and Receiving to Inventory Control and led teams of 15-45 people.
While working at McMaster Carr, I also attended graduate school at NYU, where my research focused on network technologies and the role they play in transforming our ability to gather and cooperate. My current thesis project is a ridesharing service which partners with affinity-oriented events such as concerts and conferences, delivering rideshares rapidly to local markets. The service enables event planners to embed a custom-branded widget into their sites to help their community save money, time, and the environment.
