Starting January 2010, I a going to take up the role of Executive Assistant to M.V. Subbiah, Chairman, National Skill Development Corporation.
I am a management graduate from London School of Economics and have 5 years* experience in marketing, business development, relationship management, HR, training, CSR and general management. I have worked with the hospitality sector (India) the e-learning sector (Germany) and the Not-for profit sector (India). I have been a top performer throughout and got a fast track promotion at Taj group of hotels.

I Implemented various employee engagement and recognition activities during my tenure. I managed recruitment and employee induction. I implemented robust open-house sessions and communication methods to win the 3rd Best Internal Communication Award. I handled industrial relations and contributed to the completion of the 4-month long union wage settlement in 2007. I also handled performance management, corporate reporting and community initiatives.

Today, it has more than 950 multi-disciplinary specialists at state-of-the-art development centers in Mumbai and Kolkata. TIS’s global presence extends across the US, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East, India, Netherlands, mainland Europe, and Japan. The German division of TIS provides management simulations, through the proprietary product line, TOPSIM, which is the #1 simulation product in Germany.
As an AIESEC intern handled content development of management simulations, creating and developing user manuals and marketing elements such as website, brochures, presentations etc. to make it client focussed. Reported to MD, TIS Germany.

- Developed marketing material for 6 Management Simulations and for Topsim Website.
- Made a concrete analysis of top 5 Management Simulation competitors in USA.
- Remoulded existing marketing/user material to ensure content is more client-focussed.

The internship revolved around employee newsletter, assessing the training programs in the company, coming up with the training strategy for the financial year 2006 – 07, understanding the statutory requirements in HR and understanding the recruitment, appraisal & increment systems in the organization.

AIESEC (www.aiesec.org/india/chennai) is the world's largest youth run organisation which aims at developing the potential of youth across 107 countries. It runs an international internship programme which gives students and recent graduates the opportunity to live and intern in another country.
I took over as interim-President in September and took up the role on a full-time basis from April 2005. I handled a 9-member core team, was the key spokesperson and the strategic head of the 45-member local chapter. I strategized with the Board of Advisors (consisting of prominent industry leaders) who governed and guided the chapter.
I was overall in charge for recruitment, training, member recognition, service delivery and finance (turnover of USD 37500). We hosted an international event with 600 delegates from 89 countries at Agra in 2005 with a 15 member organising team. Reported to National Committee President, India.

I joined AIESEC as Member - Corporate Sector and was later elected as Vice-President. Our team was responsible for sourcing interns from across the globe for companies in Chennai. I lead a team of 8 towards business development, corporate sales planning and relationship management. We conducted a Stakeholders Dinner with turnout of 100 delegates including leading CEO’s and HR Heads.
I was able to add 8 new clients. We ended as the 2nd Best Local Chapter in Corporate Internships in the global network of 700 chapters.

I pursued my Export Management Internship here and I got to understand the basics of export industry. My key learning was to understand the challenges in the export/import industry. The internship also gave me the initial exposure to the formal corporate environment and to the legalities of international trade.
