My goal in work is the development of security products that enable network and system administrators to secure their networks and hosts as effective and efficient as possible.

Experience as contractor:
* Development on Snort & Snort_inline
* Coding on ModSecurity, developing test tools for ModSecurity, creating rulesets
* Adapting Snort signatures for a hardware accelerator
* Active member of the Open Infosec Foundation, the grant funded foundation to create a new open source IDS/IPS engine
* Co-teaching of a Snort signature writing class at the DeepSec security conference
* Development of the SidReporter program: a collaborative approach to IDS
