- Elected for the position of trust to represent in University of Joensuu Student Union Council. First foreigner in University's history to do so, democratically elected by wide margins.
Lead the establishment of a degree club, INTO ry, focussing on special needs and requirements of international degree students in the campus.

- Won an annual "IDEKA Business Idea" competition (amongst approx. 100 innovative business ideas) organized by Joensuu Science Park, Finland.
Co-founded an enterprise to commercialize the winning business idea.

- Secured a rank of 1043 (of 100 000+ students that appeared) in nationwide Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), conducted by Indian Institute of Technology, considered to be the most competitive engineering entrance exam in India.
