Full site redesign of community based website with membership and user generated content centered around an encyclopedia of 7,000 “retro-items.” Integrated inert legacy data into a fully featured CMS, empowering Retroland to make use of this valuable information with analysis tools and content associations. Imported over 200,000 messages from a custom threaded message board system into phpBB. Custom plug-ins were then engineered for seamless integration with the Retropedia.

Headed a department of 25 programmers, web developers and IT support staff; managed vendor relationships; planned yearly capital and personnel budgets; determined best development environment for the internal and external networks; lead development teams through three website launches.

Managed a team of web developers and graphic designers; directed all aspects of website development, production and maintenance, initial planning, marketing, prototype development, database design, focus group UI testing, and final production; hands-on oversight of co-branded properties, affiliate programs and special streaming media presentations.

September 1997 – May 1998 (9 months)

Directed all client services including website production, online marketing and new business acquisition. Clients include: Origins (a subsidiary of Estee Lauder), National Alliance of Breast Cancer Organizations, Avon’s Breast Cancer Awareness Crusade, New York Hall of Science and Dr. Atkins Center - was instrumental in landing the Origins account.

February 1997 – August 1997 (7 months)

Served as lead producer on all website development, sales presentations, and proposals to clients for new business; strategic advisor for growth of new media department. Clients include: Remy Amerique, Marvel Comics and MTV Networks.

December 1993 – January 1997 (3 years 2 months)

Directed all aspects of website development and maintenance. Responsibilities included art direction, graphic design, HTML authoring, project management, and management of the creative staff - was solely responsible for the project that won the CBS Television Network account over Bates Worldwide. Original was the interactive agency of record for CBS Television Network from early 1995 through 1997.
