I am currently working on search technologies at Microsoft under "Live" Umbrella. I believe that search is radically changing the way we consume, share and create information around the world. My interests are currently vested in enabling information search using structured/entity web. With Microsoft, I have helped ship live search books (books.live.com) and live search academic (academic.live.com). Before live, I worked with Office 2007 for couple of years.
With "Live" I have come full circle. I started developing internet services after my undergrad. During undergrad, I played with internet startups during y2k. I developed internet software for telecom domain before I went for my masters. During masters, among other things, I worked on a campus startup to develop a sales CRM and worked with economic research lab developing games for economic equilibriums. With Microsoft Office, I got my experience with desktop software before giving in to the agility and fast pace development enviroment of Live Internet services.
software design and development, execution of software product/services from inception to the end. "ship it" is the mantra when it comes to software.
