Participated in a project for the nationwide computer network for the Presidential Elections in Ukraine in 1999. The entire system was built on KSI Linux 2.0. Among the other responsibilities I architected and programmed monitoring system that tracked status of all computer nodes in Regional Election Committees. There were no any failures during both rounds of the elections, all Regional Election Committees had managed to transmit 100% of data via the network.

Participated in developing first ex-SU Linux distribution (KSI Linux), project led by Sergey Kubushin. Did a lot of package maintenance.

I was responsible for development of system software for embedded systems based on Soviet-made Intel 80186 compatible processors. I did develop and write ROM-based bootstrapping and debug environment for embedded applications.

I was also successfully developed remote controlled debug monitor compatible with Turbo Debugger remote protocol. This work included clean room protocol guessing and implementation as this protocol never published by Borland.

I did also participated in design of C cross compiler for RISC-like processor used in Soviet military ships.

Participated in developing of standard Forth language developing environment for PC-compatible (well, not 100% compatible) USSR produced computer Poisk.

As a hobby I also wrote at that period antivirus programs for first computer viruses.
