Before working in Software Testing, I spent about 15 years developing software in a variety of languages: 6502 assembler, Applesoft Basic, C/C++, Visual Basic, and Java for a variety of companies.
Recently helped SirsiDynix test a large client/server system using CompuWare's TestPartner and CARS systems before being let go.
Knowledge of programming and experience with Black and White box testing.

Responsible for the development and maintenance of educational software titles that were a part of the Siboney Orchard management system.
Started development of first e-Learning title. My responsibility was to port an existing title written in C with XVT to a Java application client for both Windows and Macintosh platforms.
Participated in development of “Reading Links” series. Product was written in Java 1.2 using Swing for both Windows and Macintosh platforms.
Modified 37 titles, which had been acquired when Siboney acquired the company that developed them, to work with Siboney’s management system called Orchard. Many of them were written in C with XVT: a cross-platform development library.
14 titles were written in Visual Basic 3.0 for Windows and needed to be updated to work under Visual Basic 6.0
4 titles were written in HyperCard for the Macintosh and Visual Basic 3.0 for Windows, they were converted to Java.

Started development of a web based client for IFE (Interactive Fiction Engine) games utilizing DHTML with JavaScript.
Maintained IFE server which is used to run 5 online games. The engine is written in C and C++ using GCC on Linux servers. I used EMACS to edit the code.
Participated in a project to convert 3 million player log database records from a filesystem database to an Oracle 8i database. Wrote a C++ program to convert the records to XML where another program would take the XML data and place it into the Oracle database.
Participated in the development of CyberStrike 2, a 3D multiplayer Mech-style game. I was responsible for single player mission briefing animations. The project utilized C++ with STL and proprietary graphics routines using Visual Studio 6.0.
Participated in writing a Bulletin Board System for a move from AOL (America OnLine) to the Internet. I wrote the BBS front-end client in Java using AWT.
