Knowledge Sharing for Rural Livelihoods
India
I am a worker in the broad area of knowledge sharing in development research. I am interested in applying frontier technologies to address the challenge of equitable development in the rural areas of the developing world.
My current area of interest is in the information and communication technology continuum, focussing on content management for local empowerment, wireless sensors for remote area data gathering, GIS-based tools for micro-area development and in developing a new interpretaion of open learning paradigm for people who are not exposed to the classroom milieu. I am involved in developing a new approach to customisable mass education for the millions in the rural areas.
