Valerio Lupi’s Summary

Primary role as Windows Kernel Mode Driver developer (Network, Filesystems, Filters, ....) using NT/WDM/WDK platforms.

Fluent in c, c++, .NET, x86 asm, fast learning curve on new platforms / languages.

Strong reverse engineering background, published many articles on rootkit technologies at http://www.rootkit.com under the nickname "valerino", some of which really innovative for the times being published :

http://www.rootkit.com/newsread.php?newsid=259 ( Execute usermode code in kernel directly, using Asynchronous Procedure Calls (APC) )

http://www.rootkit.com/newsread.php?newsid=416 ( Kernelmode sockets library, implemented using Transport Driver Interface (TDI) )

.....and many others, especially focused on hiding rootkits from detectors. These articles were of interest especially for companies developing antirootkits technologies / antiviruses / personal firewalls.

Apart from the Windows kernel mode stuff, i've been involved in many multiplatform projects like windows<->linux porting and writing portable code among various platforms.

I also worked on many projects using perl, C# and the .NET platform (GUI design).

I use to work from home (moving from time to time for team meetings) and can manage small groups of co-developers.

Valerio Lupi’s Specialties:

Kernel mode driver developing on all the Windows NT OS range (NT/2k/2k3/XP/Vista/Windows7/....)
All kind of developing on the Windows platform (including .NET applications).
Multiplatform portable programming using ANSI/C.
