Developed C#, AJAX and SQL Server based applications included a system that allows the agencies 80+ locations to review and approve monthly phone bills and a reporting portal for the data warehouse using the Microsoft Chart Controls and Windows SharePoint Services 3.0. Developed a new Intranet based on the open-source C# Umbraco CMS. Developed ColdFusion and XML based applications including the online job vacancy listing, an updated Offender Locator, allowing the public to locate offenders, and a job vacancy listing application. Developed SSIS packages to export data from the enterprise Offender Management System to the Offender Locator application.

Developed and maintained public and internal web sites for public school system. Developed and maintained a Flex, ColdFusion and Oracle based benchmark testing application that enabled all 59,000 students in the 62 schools to take practice SOL tests. Curriculum coordinators entered tests into the application and teachers deployed the tests to the students. The application tied into the system’s student information database and Active Directory. Other ColdFusion and Oracle based applications developed include a student tracking and reporting application for the system’s psychologists and educational diagnosticians and a staff e-Learning system that enabled the 7,500 employees to watch annual training videos. Developed an official YouTube channel to showcase the system’s initiatives.

Developed and maintained public and internal web sites and databases for the agency and for the Virginia Department of Forensic Science. Sites were ColdFusion and .NET based and interacted with MS SQL Server, MS Access and MS FoxPro databases. Responsible for Windows 2003 web sever for multiple sites that together averaged 2,000,000+ hits/month. Assisted in network troubleshooting and PC support. Involved in transition of agency IT support services to VITA. Chaired committee that directed DCJS' web presence and worked to move web sites into compliance with VITA templates. Supported annual online school safety audit process for 2,000+ schools in the state. Created and maintained a content management system. Created and maintained a secure shopping cart that processed $1,000,000+ in online transactions. Created and maintained an online registration and management system that registered and tracked 25,000+ attendees for 500+ events. Other interactive site features developed included directories, calendars, a help desk system, employee leave reporting, office equipment inventory tracking, and online management of a variety of employee records. Provided monthly WebTrends reports to agency administration. Recipient of 2006 Director's Customer Service Award.
