This profile is for my cow in the 2007 CowParade. I had been involved with Cowparade the last time they grazed in West Hartford (2003) and I thought it would be so much fun to have a cow but I couldn't justify the expense at the time. I decided to dedicate the cow as a public honor to my Mother and include the cow as part of Breast Cancer Awareness (BCA) month in October, donating a portion of my monthly proceeds to BCA.
I started my business in October of 1995 and I've grown it consistently through a focus on customer service, client relationships, and commitment to the community.
This year, I am going to award a $1000 scholarship to the person who answers this question best: "What does Udder Hope mean to you?"
I can tell you what it means to me:
"I have had some significant challenges in my life over the past 10-15 years. What helped me through them was HOPE.I don't believe you can sit around and hope for something to happen-you definitely have to be your own best advocate and have action. But I feel without hope it is hard to move forward or to take that action."
We also have the capability to create custom products for our clients. 'Yes-we can do that' attitiude. I am currently having a lot of fun doing the Offical Moochandise for Cow Parade West Hartford (Rich-I am coming up blank jhere...let me give it some more thought....)
What are your top 5 most popular products? Bags of all types (tote, lunch, back packs, gym bags etc) because they are a walking billboard, post-it pads, custom chocolates, apparel and hats (also walking billboards!) and pens.
I LOVE to watch my children play their respective sports. I love to read Biographies, suspense novels and romance novels, and I'm a 50's music fan. I love to watch Law and Order and Oprah but don't have a lot of time to watch TV. Movies are a favorite -- drama and comedys are the best! Locally, I admire the Hoffman Auto Group -- they give so much back to the community. Nationally, I admire Starbucks -- for taking a cup of coffee and making it an experience that I can't believe I pay for every day. I really respect Oprah. She's so wise, so natural, even though she is so wealthy and seemingly sometimes forgets she is not an 'average' person anymore. She is very down to earth. Real.
I belong to several business related groups locally in West Hartford and Greater Hartford.
I am a PTO member of both a my childrens' schools and sit on the Board of the High School.
I am active in Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford.
