Sanjay Udani's Summary
I am responsible for developing and coordinating Verizon's public policy positions on issues impacting emerging services and technology related to the Internet and Internet Protocol. One of my roles is to leverage my technical background to educate stakeholders including Members of Congress and their staff, the Federal Trade Commission, and various think tanks, on complex technical issues impacting the Internet ecosystem. I've also given numerous presentations as an invited speaker to Congressional staff and at conferences and trade shows including the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
Prior to this assignment I was one of the senior architects for Verizon's fiber to the home deployment (FiOS), leading the architecture for Internet data service, video on demand, home networks and network policy management. In addition I led a graduate Telecommunications seminar for over a decade as an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
