I became a full time Certified Massage Therapist in 1999 with focus in medical massage, and still am known for my deep tissue work. In 2006 I expanded my practice to include energy modalities that I have found effective.
Sessions are available at my office next to Barracks Road Shopping Center. Seated massage is available if scheduled for a minimum of 2 hours in Charlottesville, or for a minimum of 3 hours in Albemarle and Nelson Counties.
The intent of all of my work is to support awareness so clients are more able to maintain their own alignment.
Deep tissue massage, Swedish massage, Trigger Point therapy, Circuitry Alignment, Heart Touch, and effectively addressing long standing muscular "trouble spots." Many other techniques employed require professional association affiliation for mention in text. Please contact me directly for further information.

October 1999 — Present (8 years 10 months)
Certified Massage Therapist offering a variety of services; best known for deep tissue massage. As a full time massage therapist, massage is my profession, not my hobby. I have a background in medical massage including accident and surgery rehab, addressing chronic conditions, and as part of a broader wellness team. I also offer a variety of energy techniques which have proven effective when done remotely, so physical proximity is not required for all sessions.

December 2004 — March 2008 (3 years 4 months)
As a news anchor, I compiled local, national, international, and music news stories and rewrote them to flow well when I read them on the air. I remain one of many volunteers at WNRN, though I recently resigned my position on the news team to offer more hours to my clients as my practice continues to grow. WNRN in general and the news team in particular are always looking for new volunteers.

Various job titles, beginning as a contractor in 1992. CIM was under Customer Service and later under Collections. We were housed in the CCC training center, with the senior CCC staff, 2NC, and not long before I left, was moved to TOE. In short, I weeded through potential leads to find approximately 10% actual cases, then proceeded to investigate through various means who had used electrical service without a contract through the meter. Organizational skills were crucial, considering the initial volume of potential cases.
MT, Massage Therapy, 1998 — 1999
I selected PMTI to provide my foundation education in massage therapy after reviewing several schools in my region. PMTI's academic and practical assignments were, and to my knowledge remain, more demanding than those elsewhere, which better prepared me and my classmates for our chosen field. Massage industry schools operate on a pass/fail basis, but my test scores were consistently above 90%. I went on to pass the National Certification Exam the first time I sat for it.
