Originally from New Hampshire, Troy received a degree from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) before moving to the San Francisco Bay Area in the early nineties where a passion for music and visual arts proved to be a winning combination as the demand for digital multimedia exploded. Troy entered the New Media industry as a sound designer and composer of music for CD-ROMs, and soon began discovering innovative ways to bring audio to the Web.
Troy has explored his user-centered design philosophy at companies such as frogdesign, InfoSeek, and Intel, as well as numerous independent projects. In the pursuit of creating engaging user experiences, Troy has been recognized with awards in screenwriting, and his short films have screened worldwide.
Troy DeRego is a screenwriter, filmmaker, multimedia producer and Web designer. His screenplays have been finalists in the New England Screenwriting Competition, CineStory Screenwriting Awards, and the Fade In Magazine Awards. His multimedia and Web design projects have been incluced in the Communications Arts: Interactive Design Annual. His short films have screened at festivals worldwide. Troy is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design.
