Troy Angrignon is an inquisitive, athletic, mostly self-educated, risk-taking, results focused, curious, early-rising, motivated, energetic, disciplined, optimistic, and creative…. entrepreneur, business builder, advisor, consultant, mentor, investor, blogger, writer, speaker, athlete, geek, and adventurer with a passion forsustainable business-building, technology, health and fitness. He is active in mountain and road biking, CrossFit, trail-running, hiking, yoga, swimming, cross-country skiing, snowshoe-running, and soon, kitesurfing. He also loves run-on sentences.
His passion for business building began at the age of 12 when he created his first piece of commercial software. He went on to own and operate a painting company, a clothing venture, and a computer network consulting company which he ran for ten years. He shackled himself to the yoke of the Enterprise software world long enough to hold two roles at Business Objects – Enterprise Sales and Emerging Technology Strategist. Soon cured of his desire to work in a large enterprise software company, he invested in and helped build a multi-million dollar software development company that specialized in building private label social networks for startups, media companies, and Fortune 1000 customers. During this time, the company built two products on Amazon’s Web Services and that prompted him to look into the cloud computing space. He then took on a three month role as guest co-chair of the “Under the Radar: Clarity in the Cloud” conference where he helped vet over 350 companies to find the top 24 new companies in the cloud computing space. He now consults with top-tier companies in the cloud computing, web, and green tech space.
He lives in Squamish, BC, Canada – “the outdoor recreation capital of Canada”, home to some of the best rock climbing, mountain biking, trail-running, and kitesurfing in the world.

I am an experienced multi-sport athlete and have played many roles (team captain, team member, solo-racer, and volunteer) in many types of outdoor races (mountain biking, trail-running, ocean kayaking, adventure racing, and cross country skiing.) I am also active with hiking, yoga, swimming, and roller-blading. My sporting activities have taught me the importance of practice, and the importance of building great teams.
