Edgar Troudt, MA, is an Instructor of Virtual Enterprise at CUNY Kingsborough Community College. He concurrently serves as the Technology Director of the CUNY Institute for Virtual Enterprise. Mr. Troudt has previously taught in both the Business and Computer Science programs at Queens College, where he was awarded the 2004 President's Award for Teaching Excellence. He has also taught in the Mathematics and Computer Science Department at Kingsborough.
Troudt's interests focus around educational technology and entrepreneurship pedagogy. Working with the Institute he's helped to create the MarketMaker (a simulated bank, credit, commerce and stock market system). Mr. Troudt is the co-PI of a National Science Foundation Grant to bring entrepreneurial skills to students in high-technology careers. For his doctoral work at the CUNY Graduate Center, he is studying the relationship between algorithmically generated visual representations of text and human literacy
