MS Creative Arts Therapy (graduated May 2009) at Nazareth College of Rochester, NY. She is from Santiago-Chile, where she also completed a postgraduate specialization in Art Therapy. In her home country, she had experience working with different populations, such as adults with cancer, children at social risk, and adolescents with mental disabilities.
She is a founder member and first President of the Chilean Art Therapy Association, dedicated to the diffusion and advancement of the practice of the art therapy field in Chile.
She has experience with planning and implementing art therapy sessions as well as with documentation and charting. She has worked as a co-therapist several times and in the US, she has served as interpreter in group therapy sessions.
Her goal is to contribute with the development of the creative arts therapies in Chile, creating arts programs at hospitals, community centers and mental health institutions. Moreover, she would like to bring new experiences to the art therapy education in Chile and create partnerships between Chile and US universities and institutions that may help art therapy professionals to enhance their knowledge and experiences.
She is also interested in the integration of the different art forms in order to enhance the healing process.
