Trea was born in the Netherlands on 12 February 1965. She left her native country over 20 years ago and has since lived in the United States, Belgium, Spain, and Germany. She came to Switzerland in 2000.

Trea obtained a Bachelor of Art degree in Political Science from UC Berkeley in 1992 and a Master of Arts in International Relations from the Université Libre de Bruxelles in 1994. She is fluent in English, French, German and Dutch.

A Human Resources professional who has gained her experience in diverse sectors such as ; fast moving consumergoods, computer products distribution, banking and Search and Recruitment, Trea’s passion is human relations.


Trea is married to a French man whom she met while in the US, and mother of 3 children. She is currently in the Executive Committee of a professional women's organisation in Geneva and in the little spare time that is left she enjoys dancing.
